Stationery Trends - The Next Big Thing?

Something pretty exciting happened a few months ago - i was asked if i would write about my thoughts on the next big thing in stationery for the rather beautiful Stationery Trends Magazine and their Winter 2015 Trends Issue!  Now giddy-jumping-around-the-house excitement aside, i was also felt incredibly privileged to be asked as the magazine really is everything i love about stationery and paper, from the beautiful designs that can be found on every single page to discovering new designers and stationery stores - this issue i came across the incredible Ferme à Papier, i highly recommend you take a browse!

Here's a snippet from the Blog Log with my thoughts on the next big thing...

If you want to read more from the magazine but can't get your hands on a printed copy, you can access their digital editions too!

Office Crush #23

Thursday, 15 January 2015

Thank you so much for all your kind words and sharing in the excitement of the news that i recently got engaged and have begun the process of planning the most expensive day of my life..i'm kidding, of course it will also be the most special! :)
I'm very fortunate to have a great group of friends and i've known several of them pretty much my entire life, which is just amazing because they probably know me better than i know myself! It also made choosing my bridesmaids both really easy and yet really hard at the same time - as we're having a relatively small gathering for the ceremony i wasn't too sure it was appropriate to have half the guests walk up the aisle! I decided to keep to 4, which i think is quite a nice, even number and i'm actually so excited to dress them all up. Remember in that episode of Friends where Rachel was a bridesmaid at Barry and Mindy's wedding? ;)

I actually really wanted to share with you something i came across whilst looking at save the date inspiration recently - cards to surprise your friends with to ask them to be your bridesmaid. It's so thoughtful, and something they can keep forever.
Perhaps not to everyone's taste as you personally may find it easier to just ask, but having popped this question 4 times in the last few months, i found it pretty nerve-wracking so is definitely something worth considering if you've got this very important question to ask too!

Finally, i could not resist sharing this puzzle from Lou Brown Designs's just amazing!!

Paperchase, you're just my type!

Well we've sprung from one occasion to the other already - it's officially one month to go until the day you either count down the days to or hate with an almighty passion. I will admit that this year i'm fully in the counting down the days camp, however this is also partly because we're planning a little winter sun holiday around this time too!

I've also decided to kickstart this whole new-year-new-organised-me thing this week by making sure i get my Valentine's Day card picked out for my rather lovely husband-to-be (even just typing that...butterflies!!). I'm not a fan of the overly-romantic, mushy cards so i tend to always purchase something with a little added humour. In fact, every year i find myself spending at least an hour stood in front of the card display in Paperchase giggling away to myself at their superb romantic puns and having seen some of their new range this year, i can assure you, it's only getting better...
