Paper Crush: Hip Hip Hooray

Hello!
I love this time of year for many reasons, however the constant stream of birthdays, weddings and parties is a definite favourite! It seems at the moment that every weekend we're travelling to one or another and it's great to see so many friends and family - with a few glasses of sparkles of course!

Today i wanted to share with you my latest paper crush - a stationery store that i recently discovered via Twitter. Hip Hip Hooray was only founded this year, but Jenny & Emiko's personalised, customisable approach combined with stylish beautifully illustrated stationery is quite simply wonderful! They even do my favourite paper product personalised...bunting!

I wanted to share their wedding stationery ranges with you as there are so many different options but all very beautifully done as you'll see - these are all available on their website Hip Hip Hooray and even better, they also offer instant printable downloads if you're in a bit last minute like me!

If you're looking for some great name cards too, they also offer free printables on a range of designs for these on their website - see my customised name below as a very pretty example! Let me know what you think?

Watercolour Notebooks

Hello!

I had a really funny conversation with my boyfriend last night about art lessons at school - I am the first to admit it was not my favourite subject. I lost count of the amount of empty wine bottles and fruit we were asked to draw - my shading skills were perhaps my particular weakness as my drawings often looked like the bottle was covered in plasters.
I wasn't particularly surprised when he told me it was his favourite subject at school as it's now the main part of his job, however his reason for loving it so much did - "there wasn't ever a right or wrong answer..." A really interesting idea, but tell that to my art teacher!

I do remember being slightly better at watercolour painting though due to sitting with my grandma over the school holidays. It was this conversation that sparked a little research to see if i could find a simple watercolour set to play with at home at the weekend, which is how i came across this absolutely beautiful watercolour rainbow card on Society6 by MickLyn... It's simplicity and colours are absolutely beautiful don't you think?

Of course, i then spent the best part of the next couple of hours browsing for great watercolour (& effect) notebooks to share with you and hopefully inspire you to add a new notebook to your collection! These were some of my favourites:

Paper Crush: HAY

Hej (Hello!)
Happy Eurovision Day!
Yes i know, this should probably be kept as a guilty little secret but i have to confess, i do love a little bit of Eurovision... It might have started with the brilliant commentary from Sir Wogan or perhaps Gina G's "ooh ahh" that became our school disco classic, but for as long as i can remember it's been a night that me and my best friend have spent in front of the tv laughing, cringing and dreaming of the one year we'll finally get the courage to go to a live show! Can you imagine...amazing!

In true Eurovision spirit, as this year's final is being held in Copenhagen i thought i'd share with you one of my favourite Danish stationery ranges from the fabulously creative HAY. Celebrating the best in simple, functional design, HAY's range of stationery perfectly compliments their core, modern furniture range, which is well worth a look too!

Paper Crush: Kate Spade at Selfridges

Hello!

Whilst browsing at the weekend through the Twittersphere i was stopped in my tracks by the news that Kate Spade's gorgeous new stationery range had arrived at Selfridges!!
I absolutely love Kate Spade's fashion ranges and have had a couple of bags on my wishlist for quite some time now - the Cedar Street Harmony in bluebell is my absolute favourite right now!

So you can imagine my delight at seeing this and i wanted to share this range with you as its got a really fresh sense of fun, which is often missing for me in some of the other designer stationery ranges. This collection is full of simple, classic prints such as polka dots and stripes but paired with beautiful pops of colour and quirky accessories, i can genuinely say "i want it all!!And starting at just £11.95 the new range is definitely worth a look!

Traveller Treats

Hello!

Today has been quite stressful as i've been trying to sort various visas out for my upcoming travels and panicking about when i'm actually going to have time to pack! Slightly worried it's going to be a last minute job and i'll end up on the other side of the world without a toothbrush (appreciate i can probably buy one there, but hopefully you get what i mean...)

I do enjoy travelling though, i love everything from 8am cocktails at the airport to trying to follow signs in new languages to exploring hidden treasures that aren't in the guidebooks. It's always the same whether you've just been on a weeks holiday or you've spent months travelling the world, you always want to go back!

So today i bring to you some traveller treats as i start to daydream of that first sip of Margarita ...
